GALLATIN, Mo. — WideBand Corporation announced that the computer networking industry has responded favorably to the recent announcement of its Gigabit Ethernet products that operate over standard Category 5 cable.
Since its new product announcements, the Company has signed up twenty-one new reseller locations, bringing the worldwide total to 111.
“Many users are ready for Gigabit Ethernet, but have hesitated to begin implementation because of reliability issues relating to the physical layer, and because they’re not ready to pay the price of rewiring with Cat 5e or fiber,” said Joseph Billings, Vice President of Marketing at WideBand. “Our new products operate dependably over the `already installed’ cables, thereby greatly reducing the cost of migration.”
The new resellers came onboard after seeing WideBand’s new Gigabit products. “I’ve been in the computer business 15 years, and I’m definitely impressed,” said Rob Glasco, President of PC-Onsite, one of the new resellers. “Gigabit is not just for the elite anymore. WideBand’s products allow Gigabit networking to get to everyday people.”
“Because of WideBand’s equipment, we’re able to get Gigabit speed over standard Category 5 cable,” said Kent Jackson, Service Manager of Computer Service Center, another of the new resellers. “This means we can now provide Gigabit networking to our clients without a lot of extra cost.”
WideBand’s twenty-one new reseller sites include, Las Vegas, Bakersfield, Colorado Springs, Sacramento, Tampa, Spokane, Duncan, Amarillo, Hackensack, Van Buren, Dalhart, San Dimas, Denver, Brookfield, North Tonawanda, Sherman Oakes, Miami, Layton, and Castle Rock. In addition to the new U.S. locations, WideBand added new resellers in Costa Rica and Israel. Contact information on the resellers is available on the WideBand corporate website.
The resellers cater to businesses with high demand for fast, reliable networking. Among their customers are graphics houses, banks and insurance agencies, law and medical practices, and local and state governments. Most of the new resellers joined WideBand as a result of their search for Gigabit networking products that could go the distance over Category 5 cable.
WideBand Corporation develops, manufactures, and markets standards-based Gigabit Networking products. WideBand Stock is traded on the OTC.BB Market (ZWBC), and on the Frankfurt Exchange (Stock symbol WBD). The Corporate website is https://www.wband.com.
