30 November 2005, Gallatin, Missouri – This month WideBand launched its new line of Enterprise-class Layer 3 Gigabit Ethernet Switches as part of its continued expansion in large and critical network solutions.
The new Layer 3 Switch line includes 8, 16, and 28-port gigabit copper models, an 8+8 with 8 ports gigabit copper and 8 ports for gigabit fiber, and 24+4 switches with 24-ports of 10/100 and 4-ports of gigabit. Each model boasts a non-blocking backplane and full IP routing at wire-speed.
These high-speed routing switches allow network segments to be tied together with no loss in performance while providing network managers with the tools and features to ease network management and eliminate problems such as unneeded “network chatter”.
