21 August 2007, Gallatin, Missouri – WideBand announced today its latest US-made product, the fs[ix] Professional Monitor Console, an all-in-one ultra-widescreen LCD display. With a 20-inch center and two angled 17-inch sides, the Console “surrounds” users with 45-inches (diagonal) of high-resolution display.
Perhaps the most innovative feature of the Console is the fact that it does not require a special graphics card or “splitter” to power the monitors. Just one DVI or VGA connection to the back of the unit powers all three of the internal displays, allowing users to get the most out of their current video graphics interface. The design is a unique way to provide a multi-monitor experience without a lot of extra wires or monitor mounts.
“The fs[ix] Monitor Console is the most efficient way to add three monitors I have ever seen,” says Nathan Eyre, a professional video editor. “There is nothing out there quite like it. I can go straight in with DVI from Mac or PC and the picture is great!”
The new Console is perfect for immersion applications such as simulators and graphics intensive games as well as productivity applications such as design and general office environments. The product is available through WideBand Resellers or direct to OEM partners and is shipping now.
