29 September 2006, Gallatin, Missouri – WideBand Corporation announced its new Network Health Analysis Program last week at Interop New York. Interop is the industry’s largest and most respected enterprise IT event. The New York event took place September 19 – 21 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, NY.
The purpose of a Network Health Analysis is to evaluate the network and principal storage solutions at customer’s locations to identify and prevent future system failures. The results of the analysis are delivered in a report that outlines the findings of the on-site studies and testing performed with recommendations for any repairs and upgrades needed to establish optimal network health.
The analysis involves five tests and screenings, which include a network performance and physical layer screening, security vulnerability scan and analysis, critical data protection analysis, fault tolerance and redundancy screening, and an analysis of network management and support.
Dr. Maria Sanchez of the International Academy of Science, who recently received a Network Health Analysis says, “The Network Health Analysis performed at our site revealed that our network system was wide open to security attacks. We installed a new WideBand “Heart” with a 100% redundant mirrored server and got the security holes patched. Now, thanks to WideBand, our mission-critical data is safe and our network performance has been greatly improved.”
The program was also launched in PC Magazine with a full-page ad featuring a case study of the Academy. Link: View the Ad
As part of Interop New York 2006, WideBand presented a technical session covering methods for building reliable networks with the nMU, mirrored servers, and redundant data paths. The session introduced the nMU, the intelligent hardware module that manages networks, and described methods of deployment with mirrored Gold Servers for storage, and security with the S-Key hardware token.
WideBand Corporation is the leading manufacturer of secure high availability solutions based on WideBand Networking. WideBand’s high-speed switches and redundant storage products are managed centrally through the nMU and can be monitored 24/7 remotely through its Gold Support Program. Manufacturer of the only US-made Gigabit Ethernet Switch, WideBand supports mission critical networks all over the world. See: www.wband.com.
