Power
WideBand data centers are designed for high availability with professional UPS battery systems and on-site backup generators. WideBand’s primary data center facility currently has build out for 25 Megawatts of available power and capacity available for build out of an additional 200 Megawatts. The facility is positioned with access to two separate power utilities: Kansas City Power & Light (KCP&L) and Independence Power & Light (IPL).
The Kansas City region boasts one of the most robust energy delivery networks in the world. KCP&L consistently ranks among the best in the nation at providing uninterrupted electric service. The transmission systems are designed so the loss of any particular generator or transmission line will have no effect on supplies across the region. The central US location also provides inherent protection against energy black-outs and shortages suffered on the East and West Coast.
While maintaining high ratings for quality and uptime, this region also enjoys some of the best power rates available in the country.
